Maybe you've just seen and signed to web services like Tagged or Linkedin, by which you stay in touch with friends, classmates etc.
There is now a less eye-catching but intereseting Creative Commons alternative, with a horrible acronim (garantee of geekness): FOAF, or friends of a friend. It use a simply RDF file with basic informations, and all you need is to publish it somewhere in the internet, available to users (Google above all...).
